Terms of service

The rules of working together, written so you can actually read them. The short version: you pay one clear price, you keep everything, and you approve everything.

Last updated: July 2026. These terms apply when you use usapublishinghouse.com or hire USA Publishing House, 6010 Singleton Rd, STE 213-109, Norcross, GA 30093, for publishing services.

What we do

USA Publishing House provides self-publishing services: editing, proofreading, cover design, interior formatting, ISBN assignment, illustration, ghostwriting, publishing to retail platforms such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and book marketing. Your written proposal or invoice lists exactly what's included in your project — that document, plus these terms, is our agreement. Full package details are on our pricing page.

Payment

You pay the price on your invoice and nothing more. Two ways to pay:

Payments are made by card or bank transfer through a secure invoice. We don't do surprise add-ons: if you ask for something outside your package, we quote it in writing first, and you decide.

Your approval comes first

Nothing publishes without your written approval of the final files. You review and sign off on your edited manuscript, your cover, and your formatted proof (printed or digital) before your book goes live anywhere. If you haven't approved it, it doesn't publish. Period.

Rights and royalties: 100% yours

You own your book. All of it. Copyright, manuscript, cover files, illustrations we create for your project — everything transfers to you, and we put that in writing. We take zero royalties, forever. Retail platforms keep their standard cut (roughly 30–40% plus printing costs), and the rest goes straight to your own account — not through ours. An NDA is available before you send us a single page.

Timelines are honest estimates

A finished manuscript typically publishes in about 60 days; illustrated or translated books usually take 2–3 months. These are estimates, not promises — quality steps like your approval rounds can move dates. We will never guarantee a calendar date, and we'd be careful of anyone who does. The same honesty applies to sales: no one can guarantee how many copies a book will sell, and we don't.

Revisions and satisfaction

Your package includes revision rounds at each stage — editing, cover, and formatting. If a deliverable isn't right, tell us and we revise it until it matches what your package promises. We're not done until you've approved it. If we genuinely can't get there, our refund policy spells out exactly what you get back, in writing.

What you're responsible for

Limitation of liability

Our responsibility is to deliver the services in your agreement. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question, and we're not liable for indirect damages such as lost profits or lost sales. Nothing here limits rights the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Gwinnett County, Georgia — though in nine years and 1,200+ authors, we've found a phone call resolves almost everything first.

Changes and contact

If we update these terms, the new version applies from the date posted here; your existing project stays under the terms you signed up with. Questions before you commit? That's what the free consultation is for — or call (229) 518-4453, 1pm–11pm ET, 7 days a week, or email info@usapublishinghouse.com.
