In our experience the first proof usually has something to fix — a typo that survived editing, a heading, a margin. That's what the proof step is for. Nothing publishes until you've approved the corrected final files in writing, so mistakes get fixed on our clock, not on your book's public record.
The refund policy and every payment term — one payment, or a 50% deposit to start, paid by card or bank through a secure invoice — are published on our pricing page. Read them before you sign. If a publisher won't show you theirs in writing, walk away.
