Here's math a traditional deal can't offer. Price your paperback at $20 on Amazon. The store keeps its retail cut and printing cost — typically 30–40% plus print. What's left, usually $7–$12 a copy, lands in the account you choose every 60–90 days. Point that account at the building fund, and every reader becomes a giver.

Church events are even better: order author copies at print cost and keep the full margin at the table. One of our pastors funds his youth program this way — we helped him run the numbers before he published.
