“I'd been told no by publishers for six years. USA Publishing House had my book on Amazon in nine weeks — and every royalty payment lands in my account, not theirs.”

“I'm 68 and I don't do computers. I mailed them a typed manuscript and talked to the same man on the phone the whole way through. My grandkids bought my book on Amazon.”

Questions every author asks first

Straight answers — the same ones we give on the phone.

How much does it cost to publish a book?

With us, complete publishing starts at $699 — editing, cover, formatting, ISBN, and Amazon publishing in one payment. Industry-wide, self-publishing services run anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000+, which is exactly why we put our prices on this page instead of behind a phone call. See the full cost breakdown →

How much does an author make on a $20 book?

The store (Amazon, Barnes & Noble) keeps its retail cut and printing cost — typically 30–40% plus print for paperbacks. Everything left is yours: on a $20 paperback that's usually $7–$12 per copy, deposited by Amazon directly into your account every 60–90 days. We take zero — our fee is the one-time package price and nothing after.

Who's the best publisher for a first-time author?

Whoever passes three tests: the price is in writing before you pay, you keep 100% of your rights and royalties, and you can reach a real person on the phone. The Big Five (Penguin Random House, HarperCollins and the rest) accept roughly 1–2% of manuscripts and require an agent — wonderful if it happens, but most first-time authors publish independently. Test us on all three; we don't mind.

My manuscript isn't finished. Can I still start?

Yes — we work in drafts. Plenty of our authors start while writing, and our editors work alongside them. If the writing itself is the wall, our ghostwriting team can take your story from recordings, notes, or conversations.

Is this one of those publishing scams?

Fair question — this industry has earned it. Here's how to check anyone, including us: demand the price in writing, confirm royalties and rights stay 100% yours in the contract, and call the office. We're at 6010 Singleton Rd, Norcross, GA — (229) 518-4453, a real person, 1pm–11pm ET. Read our Trustpilot reviews and open our books on Amazon before you decide anything.
